WHERE HAVE ALL THE SIGNS GONE??

Over the last few weeks, signs have been seen throughout the Town of Mount Pleasant, calling for the resignation of Town Supervisor Joan Maybury.  Those signs identified two specific reasons for the call for her resignation - "Voter Fraud" and "Civil Rights Violations".  Amazingly, those signs didn't stay in the ground very long and have disappeared from sight.  It seemed that no sooner were the signs put up, when "someone" came along and took them down.  It would appear that Free Speech, especially when it is accurate speech as portrayed on the signs, is frowned upon by the Maybury "regime".  Funny how the Supervisors' efforts to suppress the call for her resignation found on the signs, falls right into line with the "Civil Rights Violations" claim.  Removing the signs only reinforces that charge and exposes her guilt.

The public has a right to criticize the people who govern them, and to question the behavior of their elected officials.  That is exactly what these signs did.  That is healthy.  Open discussion brings about good government.  Obviously, the sign's message did not sit well with the powers that be.  Over the years, officials in the Town of Mount Pleasant had created a system, through intimidation and retaliation, which discouraged the public discussion of the negative aspects of their "rule", and that system assured that their missteps would not become public banter.  Negative facts were conveniently hidden from the public.  These signs threatened to bring down that curtain of protection, and exposed some very serious issues related to the actions of the Town Supervisor.  The "regime" didn't like the public exposure of its "dirty laundry".  But, what could be done about this affront to the administration's policy of hiding the truth.  If the signs stayed up, residents might become concerned, and begin to ask questions about other questionable conduct by Town officials.  The "regime" could not have that scenario play out.  Action needed to be taken, and quickly, and apparently it was.  The signs "mysteriously" vanished.

It's curious that while campaign signs for multiple Political Party's and multiple candidates continue to stand; while garage and tag sale signs continue to stand; while ad signs for various businesses continue to stand; and, while boy scout recruitment signs continue to stand, the signs calling for the resignation of the Supervisor quietly disappear in the night.  It was almost like a "selective" wind blew through the Town of Mount Pleasant, and swept away only the signs calling for the resignation of the Supervisor.  What a strange coincidence.

The action by the Town's "sign elves" send a clear message - that the signs have struck a nerve in Town Hall and on Broad Street, and have exposed the TRUTH that the Supervisor has tried to hide from the public.  These signs only relate to one individual, the Supervisor.  The only person who could benefit from their removal is the Supervisor.  Does the Supervisor really think that the public isn't smart enough to figure that out?   Removing the signs is an outward admission that the charges are totally accurate.  If they weren't, one would expect the Supervisor to publicly defend herself and formally dispute the claims.  If the charges weren't true, the Supervisor should be able to provide solid evidence to refute the claims and prove their inaccuracy.  But, unfortunately for the Supervisor, she cannot dispute the charges.  The charges are rock solid TRUE and factual.

While the Supervisor can make the signs go away, and she has, she cannot make the legal problems go away.  The facts do not change with the disappearance of the signs.  The TRUTH is the TRUTH.  For shame, Mrs. Supervisor - your actions are disgraceful.  Once again, you stifle the FREE SPEECH of the PEOPLE.  You trample on the CONSTITUTIONYour resignation cannot come soon enough.

NOTE:  As TRUTHFUL ONE understands it, there are many more legal issues ahead for the Supervisor.  As a matter of fact, while the current Federal Case that is proceeding before the U.S. District Court, is a only civil matter, the charges that are contained in this litigation relate to criminal actions taken by the Supervisor.  The Supervisor violated a number of sections of the New York State Penal Law (e.g.,witness tampering and intimidating a witness), and eventually will face criminal charges as well.  Stay tuned for updates on this very serious matter.  Criminals must be held accountable for their actions!

We at the Mount Pleasant Exposed BlogSpot wish to thank the thousands of people who have come to this site, to read the TRUTH.  You have made the site a great success and we will continue to bring you the facts about the corruption that is the Town of Mount Pleasant.

Remember Thomas Jefferson's famous quote, "WHEN THE PEOPLE FEAR THEIR GOVERNMENT, THERE IS TYRANNY; WHEN THE GOVERNMENT FEARS THE PEOPLE, THERE IS LIBERTY".  As seen in the current "sign" matter, a little TRUTH puts a great fear into the local government.  Hopefully, the elected officials will learn from this, and realize that they are responsible to the PEOPLE and will be held accountable by the PEOPLE.
