BREAKING NEWS IN MT. PLEASANT

SON OF WAC PRESIDENT SARDO
CAUGHT RED-HANDED STEALING
"VOTE NO" SIGNS

Extremely desperate Bond supporters think that stealing the signs will somehow help get the Bond passed.

At approximately 8:50pm on Monday evening, two opponents of the $42.4 Million School Bond, were putting up "Vote NO" signs in Thornwood.  A vehicle pulled up to them and asked if they were aware that a white SUV was removing "Vote NO" signs along Columbus Avenue; signs which had only recently been placed there.  The two gentlemen who were putting up the signs, got into their vehicle, and decided to investigate the report.  As they reached the intersection of Lozza Drive and Columbus Avenue, they noticed a white SUV parked at the corner, directly adjacent to a "Vote NO" sign.  The two made a left onto Lozza Drive and passed the white SUV.  As they passed, they noticed the passenger door of the SUV open and an individual get out.  The time was now 8:55pm.  The individual who exited the vehicle, a young man, grabbed the "Vote NO" sign that was closest to the SUV, and then ran onto Columbus Avenue and picked up two more "Vote NO" signs that had  been placed in the center median.  The young man then ran back to the SUV with three "Vote NO" signs in hand.  When the young man reached the SUV, the two gentlemen who had only put those signs up a short time before, had turned their vehicle around and were parked directly behind the SUV.  The perpetrator, wearing a Westlake jacket, was caught red-handed.  The two gentlemen wrote down the license plate number, took a photo and called the Mount Pleasant Police Department to report the incident.

Later it was discovered that the vehicle in question, a 2014 White Chevrolet SUV, in which the young man made his "get away", was registered to Anthony G. Sardo, 3 Lochland Road, Valhalla, NY 10595.  It was not determined who the driver of the vehicle was at the time the young man was caught stealing the signs.  The young man was the passenger in the vehicle.  If the name of the vehicle owner sounds familiar, it should.  Anthony Sardo is the President of the Westlake Athletic Booster Club, the organization recently investigated by the IRS for failing to file tax returns since 2009.  Question for Mr. Sardo - was tonight's incident another "administrative error" like the tax problem?  Well, unfortunately for the Sardo family, tonight's actions weren't administrative, they were criminal.  More than 100 "Vote NO" signs have been stolen over the last few days.  Since young Mr. Sardo is the only individual who was caught stealing the signs, it must be presumed that he took them all.  Accordingly, each of the individuals who chipped in to purchase the "Vote NO" signs will be filing criminal charges against the young Mr. Sardo and his accomplice, the driver of the white SUV, for stealing over 100 signs.  While the Mount Pleasant Police did respond to the Sardo residence on Monday evening, it is not known at the time of this post, what the outcome of their visit was.  No matter, formal criminal charges will be filed with the Mount Pleasant Police Department on Tuesday.

For those who don't remember, Mr. Sardo was involved in an incident prior to the November Bond vote, where he threatened and harassed Bond opponents who were distributing fliers.  It would seem that Mr. Sardo just can't help himself.  He obviously doesn't believe in Free Speech or the Constitution, or the rights of fellow residents to express their opinion.  After the incident in November, one of the individuals who was threatened and harassed by Mr. Sardo, filed a complaint with the Mount Pleasant Police Department and also with Mt. Pleasant School Superintendent Guiney (since the incident occurred on school grounds).  It appears that up until now, Mr. Sardo suffered no consequences for his actions from either the Police or Ms. Guiney.

What a great example Mr. Sardo has set for the community.  Here we have the President of the WAC, the man entrusted with the care of young athletes, who thinks nothing of intimidating and threatening his political opponents.  Worse yet, Sardo jeopardizes the welfare of his own son by involving him in the criminal theft of the "Vote NO" signs.  Mr. Sardo's conduct is disgraceful.  How could he place his own son in this predicament?

As stated previously, criminal charges will be filed on Tuesday with the Mount Pleasant Police Department.  We here at Mount Pleasant Exposed will be watching to make sure that neither Mr. Sardo, nor his son, receive any special treatment.  We will provide updates as this situation unfolds.

Additionally, Mr. Sardo is a teacher in the Yonkers School System.  We have been informed that the Yonkers Board of Education will be notified of Mr. Sardo's actions here in Mount Pleasant.  A man like this has no business interacting with children, especially when he has demonstrated that he thought nothing of placing his own son in jeopardy.

A very important question now must be asked.  How can a man like Sardo be entrusted with the care of the children of Mt. Pleasant?  When he showed such a lack of caring for his own son, how could any parent trust Sardo with their childSardo needs to GO - and GO NOW!  Will the School Board or the Superintendent take the appropriate action and push for his removal?  Will Sardo's cronies in the WAC circle the wagon's to protect him, or, will they do what's right and throw him out?  The actions that will be taken against Sardo, will reveal if the School Board Members, the Superintendent, or the Officers of the WAC have any character.   We will be watching and will keep our loyal readers informed and updated on the Sardo saga.

THIS SHOULD BE JUST ANOTHER GLARING EXAMPLE OF WHY RESIDENTS SHOULD VOTE NO TO DEFEAT THE BOND ON TUESDAY.

  1. What an embarrassment this Sardo is. He is corrupting his son. What values is he infecting our children with. He has been thrown out of sporting events for being violent and out of control, he is not a role model we should have involved with our children. Guiney will never touch this; Jimmy and the BOE would never stand for it. The Mount Pleasant Polices history is a glowing one from the nanny fire up to the shooting of a college student in the shopping center parking lot. Every time they screw up a chief resigns. And now the Town is being run by a plumber.

  2. I think they should suspend this kid from lax season. Then notify Dartmouth about his respect to other people he is putting his scholarship in jeopardy.

  3. What's the update with this about stealing the signs? No consequences as always? BOE & Administration doing nothing to the "Elite" parents of WHS? Its just ashamed as always about how parents of "regular" school kids struggle and deal with administrators teachers and BOE at all levels and have no "special" treatment because their not in the "vicarious in crowd". Same applies to the MTPL PD, hassle the regular kids & grant immunity to the "Elite". To sum it up this guy gets away with it again & sits with that typical WAC grin.
